Sound Browser Garageband Ipad

This may sound very simple, but here's my problem:

Get started with GarageBand for iPad The first time you open GarageBand, you see the Sound browser, where you can choose a Touch Instrument to play. There are Touch Instruments for keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, strings, and more, designed to help you make music easily.

I plug my guitar in to my iPad2 to use the guitar amplifier in Garage Band. No sound comes out of the iPad when I play. I can see the green light above the cable icon in GarageBand, so I know it's getting a signal from my guitar. I have tried switching on 'monitor', but to no avail. It looks like a great app, but it can't seem to do one of the most basic things it's supposed to do.

  • Currently GarageBand is lagging behind other audio apps like BossJock and Audio Mastering for iPad which directly support the '˜Open in.' Protocol (strange as Apple develop both iOS and GarageBand!) so you will need to choose an audio editor app like TwistedWave or Hokusai (with Tools pack) as an intermediate step.
  • Irig 2 Garageband Ipad No Sound Download If you want to record acoustic guitar, you can use the iPad's built in microphone but I would recommend looking at Blue Microphone's 'Yeti Pro' or Apogee's upcoming 'Mic' to add a professional sheen to your recordings.
