- Adobe Audition can export its own audio sessions (.sesx) to several audio formats, including the common MP3 format (.mp3). Considering the support of.sesx sessions in other programs is pretty limited, it is unlikely that you can achieve sesx to mp3 conversion by other means. Updated: February 4, 2021.
- This program supported SES files up to Adobe Audition version CS5.5, after which the XML-based SESX project format was introduced. However, you can easily convert SES files to SESX with the help of the Ses2Sesx tool.
Apr 07, 2020 I just bought a program to convert.ses files to.sesx files, because I want to be able to open my old work. Now I cannot find the Ses2Sesx app anywhere on my PC. Who knows how to convert my files. I paid nicely for everything Audition and Ses2Sesx. I do not get it. Thanks in advance.

The latest versions of Audition use a new session format (sesx) which is based on xml. While Audition CC, CS6, CS5.5 and CS5 can import OMF and Final Cut Pro sessions they don't import any of the old binary ses format session files from previous versions, they will only import xml session files saved from AA3.
So this is why we created Ses2Sesx. From Cool Edit 2000, CEP 1.1 right through to Audition 3.0 Ses2Sesx will convert these legacy sessions to the latest Adobe Audition CS5 & 5.5, CS6 and CC session (sesx) format.

We can understand full well why Adobe chose to concentrate on core features rather than backward compatability.
